1994
Creation of the Bissardon Fruit Juice Company
Jean-Louis Bissardon was a man ahead of his time with an intense love of the earth. But it was above all his passion for arboriculture that led him to create his own company, Bissardon, at Chagnon, a small village in the Jarez region south west of Lyon in France, between the mountains of the Pilat National Park and the hills of the Monts du Lyonnais.
Having been born in this great fruit producing region into a family of fruit growers, Jean-Louis Bissardon learned at his mother’s knee how to recognise good fruit, and his elders taught him how to taste it and judge its maturity and quality. The Bissardon company is the result of this combination of expertise and love of fruit.
2004
Bissardon confirms its attachment to the region
Ten years after its creation, the company expands its activity with a second production site at Saint-Laurent-d’Agny in the Rhone, close to its producers.
Its range of products is extended whilst remaining faithful to the recipe for success that had made the reputation of its juices – respect for nature and the taste of the fruit.
2011
Innovation in support of tradition
The two production sites move to brand new premises at nearby Saint-Paul-en-Jarez in the Loire. This new eco-responsible building of 3,000m2 enables improved management of a production process based on traditional methods, and the implementation of HACCP processes for food hygiene and safety.
2014
Bissardon develops its production capacity
With a desire to maintain a high-performance production tool and meet customer demand, Bissardon pursues a permanent programme of investment.
New equipment is installed on the production site.
2018
Launch of a 100% ORGANIC range
The launch of the ORGANIC BIO LES CŒURS range is driven by the desire to always respect the integrity of the fruit and to promote local and reasoned agriculture. Already very much attached to forging partnerships with growers and implicated in the selection of its fruit, Bissardon seeks to go even further in the traceability of its juices and nectars made from fruit that is strictly sourced from certified Organic Agriculture.
2021
Local sourcing
Since the very beginning, Bissardon has been committed to local sourcing, short supply chains, traceability, and reasoned growing methods.
The company has always been concerned about sustainable waste management and is now part of a local initiative for the re-use of glass bottles, called Rebooteille.
2022

Bissardon regularly receives awards for the quality of its products and its expertise at the Paris Concours Général Agricole.
In 2022, our pure apple & raspberry juice won the Gold Medal and our pear juice won the Silver Medal in the category fruit juices.
